I guess this will mark my journey into Caryl Churchill. I’m busy working on my blog posts. I like how the dialogue is done in this play so that when questions are asked they aren’t always answered. One of the many plays I’ve read for class this semester, but it’s great.
Want to Read saving…. I like my interpretation, view spoiler [of a childhood trauma creating complete chaos later in life, with that line about “people thinking it’s a house” acting as a symbol for false security, with the house acting as point of origin not of the war, but of Joan’s psychological scars hide spoiler ] but yours should be your own. There are a million factions and it’s impossible to tell who’s good and who’s bad. Her style is wholly her own and yet she leaves so much freedom for a director’s interpretation. She doesn’t understand why more aren’t kept, and claims that they could be re-used.
