Is the power consumption the same for both the LF and F part at 3 PIC Microcontrollers (PIC10F, PIC12F, PIC16F, PIC18F)» LF vs F power. Based on a powerful RISC core, the PIC® microcontroller architecture provides users with an easy migration path from 6 to pins among all families, with little . Based on Nigel and be80be’s results I feel confident enough to just give it a go with the chips I have and see ss9lpr363dg happens. Is the power consumption the same for both the LF and F part at 3.
LF vs F power consumption 16LF1938
The 16Fx devices I’m working with have regulators as well. Some F series do not run as low as the LF but the chip you are using has the same low voltage range. But the datasheet seems to be a little lax in l the difference between the F and LF parts, so naturally I’m just a little paranoid. I’ve looked thru the datasheet and I’m looking for a second opinion just to make sure I haven’t overlooked s99lpr363dg regarding power consumption.
Another item that is easily overlooked between some F and LF parts is that often the LF part does not have an internal voltage regulator for Vcore and therefore it must be supplied externally on the Vcore pin. Debug breakpoints automatically disabled Future of PIC32 16F88 s9lp363dg set internal oscillator frequency beyond The data sheet shows everything pretty much identical except the LF version has a chart showing oscillator zone being ok at lower voltages.

Also Note the Sleep current on the F part is higher due to the internal regulator. I’m interested in the exact reason one part is F and another is LF?
I agree a person needs to read into the datasheet a little deeper to find clarity on this topic, however it is there in the data sheet. Always made me wonder if they just checked there chips in to see if they stay in spec.
Personally if your board has the cap designed on and you s9lpr63dg not need the pins I would still use the cap, but it depends on your environment and the noise. But say you pick a 18f And you get 10 of them 5 or more will run fine a9lpr363dg the Lf voltage Levels.
Was I correct in inferring that as long as I’m below 3. The datasheet uses the same chart for both parts implying it s9lpr363gd. Is the LF manufactured differently, and if so what are the differences? Pigskin Tony New Member Sep 22, Started by fastline Yesterday at 8: Forums New posts Search forums.

To participate you need to register. All this because Mchip makes so many variations of chips that we can’t find pcs on the shelf anywhere when our customer has a panic order. Also if anyone has real world experience using a F part at 3v Vdd or anything like that it would be nice to hear from you. The 16Fx series actually wants a bypass cap on a couple of the input pins specifically for the regulator.
